A service meets its next user
On 14 August 2022, a builder brought a practical question to the chat: how could they use the Secret Projects styled-text API in BJS, the language of BB bot commands? Later that day, the service’s author shared a URL with the format=true option for BJS.
Secret Projects had already appeared in conversations that spring. In April, its author said API work was keeping them busy; June brought links for speech and Play Store information. By August, someone was trying to fit one of those tools into a bot.
The collection also had more than one contributor. In May 2023, another member said they had written the source behind its Telegraph and captcha services.
A new name, then a question of its own
Projectoid arrived in a late-night conversation on 16 March 2023. A member announced a new web-services brand, shared its name and said they had just bought the domain.
A May post followed with a library sample. By September 2024, Projectoid was asking API users for feedback on their needs and preferences.
Email and broadcast services
On 15 March 2024, CubeTon MailApp’s author announced an email API that could be called from BB. The announcement described Gmail support and an inbox autoresponder with filters.
Teleservice tackled a different problem that June. Its creators announced a broadcast API with inline buttons and message formatting, presenting it as an answer to the WholeUsers timeouts builders were encountering.
The 30 June announcement called it version 1.0.0 Beta. Under the long feature list, the project carried two familiar tags: Coded in BB and BB Bot. The tool being offered to bot builders was itself built on BB, according to its creators.
