2025–2026 · Community voting

The chat elected its admins. Twice.

MetaL Trust became voting weight, four administrators took office and a second election brought party-style campaigns.

A score gets another job

On 8 March 2026, BB opened community voting. Members could vote for chat administrators, the creation of community polls and the slow-mode setting. Their MetaL Trust score determined the weight of each vote; voting did not spend it.

This followed another gap in the team. New administrators had been announced in September 2025, but by 5 March the founder reported that the chat temporarily had none. Three days later, choosing the next team was a community vote.

Four admins, then a one-hour cooldown

The result announced on 12 March named four new administrators. That team lasted until 29 May.

That afternoon, a member complained about arguments between admins, timer changes and inconsistent rules. The founder promised another vote. At 14:43, he announced that there were no admins; at 14:44, the chat’s cooldown increased to one hour. The complaint described the dispute, not a proven verdict on each administrator.

This time, there were parties

A second election opened on 7 June. Its announcement spelled out the job: welcome new users, moderate discussions and keep the chat useful and friendly.

A victory post on 14 June gave the race a party-campaign flavour: BB Janta Party at about 38%, Developer Janta Party at 24.8% and Chill Janta Party at 19.1%. These were the figures in that post, not a complete final tally.

On 15 June, the founder congratulated the winners and said permissions would be granted that day. The surrounding messages identify a three-person team; its first recorded moderation actions followed on 16 June.

The experiment ends in July

On 24 June, one administrator was temporarily removed while a Season 3 incident was reviewed. The founder explicitly said the available evidence could neither establish nor rule out that administrator’s involvement.

On 12 July, he announced the end of the current model: all administrator roles would be removed, and the chat would continue without them.
