Nails enters the vote
Bots.Business asked its community to choose a new logo concept on 14 March 2026. Among the technical-looking options was Nails, inspired by the 💅 emoji.
Each participant’s MetaL determined the weight of their vote, without spending the score. The winning concept would become the basis for a finished design.
An unexpected winner, with a detour
By 16 March, Nails held 70.7% of the MetaL voting power; Code Brackets had 27.2%. The channel called the lead unexpected. Those were interim figures, and on 17 March the organizer reported that Nails had slipped to second.
On 18 March, the organizer acknowledged the outcome in favour of Nails. When the choice was challenged, the answer was direct: BB had asked people to decide. Rejecting its own result would be unfair and undermine trust.
31 May: the avatars change
The choice still needed to become a usable logo. In April, the organizer shared Nails-themed design ideas; in May, users were still asking when it would arrive.
On 31 May, alongside new web and app releases, the channel and chat avatars changed. The channel’s new image survives in the export: a white tapered mark with a droplet-shaped cutout on blue.
More than two months after the vote, BB was wearing the community’s unlikely choice.
