26 May: five more reward places
On 26 May 2026, BB reported an ongoing attack on its infrastructure. Season 3 was already running. The next part of the announcement was unexpected: the prize pool was going up.
The announced total rose from $500 to $550. Places 11 through 15 would now receive $10 each, giving five more builders a place on the reward list. The competition continued.
Almost twenty-four hours of disruption
The following afternoon, BB described almost twenty-four hours under DDoS attack. The API had been unavailable at times. The team reported moving infrastructure behind a new protection layer, strengthening filters and reworking parts of the network.
The update also thanked the people sending reports and checking what worked. While the team worked on the defenses, builders helped it understand what was happening at the other end.
31 May: services reported restored
On 31 May, BB reported that all major services were operating normally. It credited community reports and patience with helping the team respond faster.
Season 3 still had its June arguments and results review ahead of it. Its final announcement on 28 June recorded $570 for seventeen participants, including two extra reward recipients.
